The Chicago Zephyrs (14-21) trailed by two in the eighth, but Zach Copple was able to capture the lead back with a in the eighth, spurring the Chicago Zephyrs to an 8-7 win over the Southland Vikings (16-20) at Homewood HS on Friday.

With the score tied at seven in the eighth inning,, bringing home Peter Les.

Copple did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Chicago Zephyrs, reaching base two times. He singled in the seventh inning.

kyle Renaud reached base five times in the game for the Chicago Zephyrs. He singled in the fourth inning.

Vince Parisi paced the Southland Vikings at the plate. Parisi went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.

Alan Frank got his second win for the Chicago Zephyrs despite allowing seven runs over nine innings. Frank struck out one, walked one and gave up 13 hits.

Noah Anderson (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked six and struck out none.
