Patrick Driscoll drove in the winning run to give the DuPage County Hounds (17-15) the lead in the seventh inning, as the DuPage County Hounds hung on to beat the DeKalb County Liners (19-12) 6-4 on Saturday.
Jordan Rogers singled to start the seventh. He then went from first to second. Finally, Driscoll came to the plate with the score tied at three, and singled, plating Rogers.Driscoll reached base three times in the game for the DuPage County Hounds. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the seventh inning.
The DuPage County Hounds staved off the DeKalb County Liners as the DeKalb County Liners were unable to match the DuPage County Hounds down the stretch.
The DeKalb County Liners scored one run in the eighth on an RBI single by Markus Duckworth. Still, the DeKalb County Liners couldn't catch the DuPage County Hounds.
Jason Euler had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second and fourth innings.
Nick Woltkamp recorded his third win of the year for the DuPage County Hounds. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked three and surrendered eight hits.
David Deliz ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 6 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out two.
