The Rockford Foresters (8-34) outlasted the Northwest Indiana Oilmen (28-16) on Tuesday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 5-3 win at Oil City Stadium.

The Rockford Foresters held off the Northwest Indiana Oilmen, as the Northwest Indiana Oilmen were unable to overcome a three-run ninth inning deficit.

The Northwest Indiana Oilmen scored one run in the ninth on an error. Still, the Northwest Indiana Oilmen couldn't draw even.

Andrew Carr was hot from the plate for the Rockford Foresters. Carr went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.

Cody Steed picked up the win for the Rockford Foresters. Steed allowed two earned runs, four hits and six walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Kale Popp couldn't get it done on the hill for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen, taking a loss. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed three runs.
