The Rockford Foresters cough up lead, the DuPage County Hounds win 13-12

The DuPage County Hounds (11-9) trailed by three in the eighth, but the DuPage County Hounds recovered thanks to a key ground out in the eighth inning from John Tyler Robbins to pull out a 13-12 win over the Rockford Foresters (5-14) at Benedictine Stadium on Saturday.

With the score tied at 12, grounded out, bringing home Tom Lentine.

Tyler Robbins paced the DuPage County Hounds at the plate. Tyler Robbins went 1-3 and scored one run. He singled in the second inning.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 25 runs and 24 hits, including zero extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with seven pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

Charles Gould racked up two RBIs on four hits for the DuPage County Hounds. He singled in the first, fourth, sixth, and eighth innings.

Nick Woltkamp got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Cody Love was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
