The DeKalb County Liners drop the Northwest Indiana Oilmen 8-4 behind Lockwood's early single

The DeKalb County Liners (12-9)'s five first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home an 8-4 win over the Northwest Indiana Oilmen (14-7) on Saturday at Oil City Stadium.

Beau Wallace had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first and sixth innings and singled in the eighth inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen's Brandon Krieg. Krieg went 3-5 and drove in one. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the first and ninth innings.

Luke Harrison improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the DeKalb County Liners. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

Danny Britt (3-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed five runs.

The DeKalb County Liners were sparked by Eric Lockwood and Brian Estevez, who teamed up for seven hits and four RBIs.
