The Rockford Foresters (5-13) took down the DuPage County Hounds 10-3 on Friday at Benedictine Stadium after slamming the DuPage County Hounds (9-9) with six runs in the seventh inning.
Nick Richter helped the Rockford Foresters pull ahead for the duration in the seventh inning. Jameson Henning singled to start the seventh. He then went from first to third on a single by Dane Sauer. Finally, Richter came to the plate with the score tied at three in the seventh inning, and, plating Henning.
Tom Weissbeck racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Rockford Foresters. He singled in the first, third, and seventh innings and doubled in the eighth innings.
The Rockford Foresters relied on Brady Stanton to eat up innings en route to the win. Stanton allowed three earned runs, six hits and three walks while striking out two over nine innings of work.
Brett Maus ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked five and struck out nine.
