The Northwest Indiana Oilmen (14-7) and the DuPage County Hounds (12-10) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Northwest Indiana Oilmen that eventually took advantage of them in a 5-3 win at Oil City Stadium.

The DuPage County Hounds scored one run in the eighth on an RBI single by Brendan Delany. Still, the DuPage County Hounds couldn't catch the Northwest Indiana Oilmen.

Bennett Oliver put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. He doubled in the first and fifth innings.

Kale Popp got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out two, walked five and surrendered four hits.

Max Allen (0-2) took the loss for the DuPage County Hounds. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
