The bats were busy at Oil City Stadium on Wednesday, and when the dust cleared the Will County CrackerJacks (5-3) had a 12-9 win over the Northwest Indiana Oilmen (8-3).

The teams totaled 28 hits in the game.

Mitch Elliott racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Will County CrackerJacks. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the second and ninth innings.

Billy Miller boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. He singled in the first, fifth, seventh, and ninth innings.

Michael Oczypok got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Joey Eichmann was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
