A walk-off double from Billy Miller brought home the winning run for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen (8-3) in a 5-4 victory over the Southland Vikings (4-4) at Oil City Stadium on Tuesday.
Miller had two extra-base hits for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. He doubled in the sixth and ninth innings.
Ryan March did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Southland Vikings, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He tripled in the ninth inning.
Brandon Duplessis pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and one walk while striking out four.
Josh Stowe recorded his second win of the year for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. He allowed one run over one inning. Stowe struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.
Tyler Willis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
