Blake Nation threw a shutout to lift the Fort Worth Cats (25-19) to a 7-0 win over the Abilene Prairie Dogs (18-26) at Walt Driggers Field.

The Fort Worth Cats' Nation kept the Abilene Prairie Dogs off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on six hits while ringing up four.

The Fort Worth Cats blew out the Abilene Prairie Dogs thanks to 12 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Fort Worth Cats scored three runs in the fourth on a two-run home run by Jose Ruiz and a groundout by Derek Marshall.

Ruiz racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Fort Worth Cats.

Adam Rowe (2-3) took the loss for the Abilene Prairie Dogs. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
