It took 10 innings, but the McAllen Thunder (19-35) managed to put away the Abilene Prairie Dogs (21-31) 6-3 on Friday at Walt Driggers Field.
With the score tied at three in the tenth inning, Nick Mahin came to the plate and hit into a fielder's choice, bringing home Nelson Teilon.
Mahin pushed the McAllen Thunder ahead, in the tenth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out.
Chad Robinson improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the McAllen Thunder. He allowed two runs over two innings. Robinson struck out two, walked one and gave up two hits.
Scott Vander Weg was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
