Derek Perren collected three hits as the Edinburg Roadrunners (36-21) took home a 5-2 victory over the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings (32-24) at Harlingen Field on Thursday.

He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and eighth innings.

Dave Dineli picked up the win for the Edinburg Roadrunners. Dineli pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and five walks while striking out five.

Celson Polanco (6-3) took the loss for the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.
