Romulo Ruiz led the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.
The Rio Grande Valley Whitewings got the win thanks in large part to Luis Noel's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Noel allowed two earned runs, four hits and four walks over six innings.
Jamar Walton had two extra-base hits for the San Angelo Colts. He doubled in the seventh and eighth innings.
Mark Willinsky ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed 10 runs in four innings, walked one and struck out two.
