The San Angelo Colts take out the Abilene Prairie Dogs with help from Banda, 5-1

Josh Banda had three RBIs as the San Angelo Colts (5-0) took home a 5-1 victory over the Abilene Prairie Dogs (2-3) at Foster Field on Sunday.

He homered in the second inning.

Ryan Hanna's four strikeouts helped the San Angelo Colts to the victory. The San Angelo Colts' pitcher tossed four innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.

Joe Weik was solid at the plate for the Abilene Prairie Dogs. Weik went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

The San Angelo Colts couldn't get anything going as long as Todd Weldon was pitching. Weldon held the San Angelo Colts hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Woods Fines was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed five runs.

The lone run of the game for the Abilene Prairie Dogs crossed the plate in the second inning on a solo home run by Weik.

The lead stayed with the San Angelo Colts after the second, when they scored three runs on a three-run home run by Banda.
