An outstanding effort by Carmine Caccavale spurred the Filthy Bastards (11-7) to a 24-10 win in seven innings over the Cougar Bait (4-16) on Friday at Shorefront Park.

Caccavale rocked the Cougar Bait with two home runs. Caccavale went 4-5 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Caccavale homered in the fourth and sixth innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 34 total runs and 65 hits during the game.

The Filthy Bastards didn't let up, as they kept racking up runs until the end. The Filthy Bastards scored six runs in the last one innings to finish off the blowout win. The Filthy Bastards scored 10 runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Chris Regnier, an RBI single by Brian Whitehead, a three-run single by Neil Hassett, a two-run home run by Johnny Reagan, a solo home run by Caccavale, an RBI single by Tim Whitehead, and an RBI triple by Regnier.

It was a good day at the plate for the Cougar Bait's Dave Cuevas. Cuevas went 4-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the first, third, and sixth innings.

The Filthy Bastards pounded the Cougar Bait pitching, as 11 hitters combined for 43 hits, 10 RBIs and 24 runs scored.
