Early lead gives the Sleestacks easy victory over the BALLS DEEP, 23-5

Story by Narrative Science.

The Sleestacks (9-5) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the BALLS DEEP (8-4), recording a 23-5 victory on Friday at Veterans.

Seventeen runs in the first three innings allowed the Sleestacks to put the game away early.

A sacrifice fly by Ed Weber and a groundout by Bryan Haviland in the first inning and a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Stan Yoniak, a three-run triple by Mike Dacken, and an RBI double by Mike Kocherkevich during the second inning fueled the Sleestacks' offense early.

Kocherkevich racked up six RBIs on four hits for the Sleestacks.

Jaime Dimucci paced the BALLS DEEP at the plate. Dimucci went 2-2, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third inning.

The Sleestacks hammered the BALLS DEEP pitching as eight hitters had a field day, combining for 22 hits, 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
