Three first-inning runs helped the McKinney Marshals (17-29) to a 4-1 win over the Acadiana Cane Cutters (21-26) at Allen High School on Tuesday.

It was a good day at the plate for the McKinney Marshals' Brandon Dixon. Dixon went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first and sixth innings.

Taylor Hale picked up the win for the McKinney Marshals. Hale pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, eight hits and no walks while striking out three.

Kaleb Manual (5-3) took the loss for the Acadiana Cane Cutters. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
