An ace performance by Mike Hager spurred the East Texas Pump Jacks (24-7) to a 2-1 win over the Brazos Valley Bombers on Tuesday at Driller Park.

The East Texas Pump Jacks got the win thanks in large part to Hager's dominant, 12-strikeout performance. Hager allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks over eight innings.

Jordan Hammerman was solid at the plate for the Brazos Valley Bombers (19-14). Hammerman went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.

Andrew Godail was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
