The Brazos Valley Bombers (13-6) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the East Texas Pump Jacks (16-3) on Saturday, as the Brazos Valley Bombers fell 4-3 at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark after falling behind by four runs in the sixth inning.

The Brazos Valley Bombers scored three runs in the seventh on a two-run home run by James Wathon and a groundout by Braden Mattson. Despite their efforts, the Brazos Valley Bombers couldn't get over the hump.

Tyler Sullivan led the East Texas Pump Jacks' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

The Brazos Valley Bombers couldn't get anything going so long as Ty Schlottmann was on the hill. The Brazos Valley Bombers managed just two hits off of Schlottmann, who allowed two earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his six innings of work.

Wathon racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Brazos Valley Bombers. He homered in the seventh inning.

Damian Rivera was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
