Brendon Hayden collected three hits as the Wisconsin Woodchucks (40-21) took home a 5-1 victory over the Lakeshore Chinooks (31-30) at Kapco Park on Friday.
He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third and sixth innings.The Lakeshore Chinooks had no answer for Austin Stadler, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Stadler held the Lakeshore Chinooks hitless over five innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Tim Verthien couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Lakeshore Chinooks, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
