The Madison Mallards (31-24) scored four runs in the seventh to cap a 10-2 win over the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (23-32) on Thursday.

John Welborn reached base four times. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.

Bobby Poyner improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Madison Mallards. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Augey Bill (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
