After four lead changes in Sunday's game at Subway Field, the Thunder Bay Border Cats (23-30) finally pulled out a 9-6 win over the Willmar Stingers (30-23).
The Thunder Bay Border Cats' Brett Kay was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the third and sixth innings.
James Buckelew recorded his second win of the year for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. Buckelew struck out three, walked three and gave up three hits.
Mark Lukowski (3-1) took the loss for the Willmar Stingers. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
