The Wisconsin Woodchucks top the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters behind Davis' 2 hits, 9-7

J.D. Davis clubbed two home runs to carry the Wisconsin Woodchucks (28-19) to a 9-7 win over the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (21-26) at Athletic Park.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to six lead changes in the game.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks held off the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, as the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters were unable to overcome a three-run sixth inning deficit.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters scored on a sacrifice fly by Skyler Debilzen and an RBI triple by Austin Neary in the seventh inning and a solo home run by Aaron Gretz in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters couldn't finish the comeback.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters had no answer for Ben Burke, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters managed just two hits off of Burke, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his three innings of work.

Kenny Towns was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks were sparked by Davis and Eric Filia- Snyder, who teamed up for eight hits and four RBIs.
