Ryan Ussery went 1-4 as the Lakeshore Chinooks (19-19) took home a 3-1 victory over the La Crosse Loggers (27-11) at Kapco Park, Mequon, WI on Saturday.
He tripled in the fifth inning.The Lakeshore Chinooks relied on Nick Soldano to eat up innings en route to the win. Soldano allowed no earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out three over six innings of work.
A bright spot for the La Crosse Loggers in the defeat was Alex Gunn, who allowed only three runs while striking out five.
Gunn ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year.
