The Mankato MoonDogs (25-7) took down the St. Cloud Rox (8-22) 9-3 on Sunday at Joe Faber Field after slamming the St. Cloud Rox with five runs in the fourth inning.
Trey Nielsen racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Mankato MoonDogs. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the seventh innings.
Davis Henderson looked sharp on the mound. Henderson gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 2/3 innings of work.
The St. Cloud Rox were led by Mark Rhine's hitting. Rhine went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.
Wayland Moore got the win, running his season record to 3-0. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered seven hits.
