The Willmar Stingers (18-13) beat the Alexandria Beetles (11-20) 6-2 on Saturday at Bill Taunton Stadium behind Michael Suchy, who had three RBIs.
He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.The Alexandria Beetles couldn't get anything going so long as Steven Brault was on the hill. The Alexandria Beetles managed just one hit off of Brault, who allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out 10 during his 6 2/3 innings of work.
Shawn Riesgraf (1-3) took the loss for the Alexandria Beetles. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
