The Rochester Honkers outlast the Willmar Stingers in high-scoring affair, 9-8

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as the Rochester Honkers (13-19) outscored the Willmar Stingers (19-13) 9-8 in 10 innings.

The two teams combined for 17 hits in the game.

Trevor Podratz helped the Rochester Honkers pull ahead for the duration in the tenth inning. Mike Lukkason was hit by a pitch to start the tenth. He then went from first to third. Finally, Podratz came to the plate with the score tied at eight in the tenth inning, and singled, bringing home Lukkason.

Podratz racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Rochester Honkers. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the tenth inning.

Even though Elliott Engle allowed six runs over two innings he still recorded the victory, his second of the season. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Jacob Cage (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
