Jason McMurray went 2-4, sparking the Green Bay Bullfrogs (4-6) to a 4-1 victory over the Madison Mallards (5-5) on Friday at Warner Park.
He singled in the seventh inning and doubled in the eighth inning.The Madison Mallards had no answer for Taylor Black, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Madison Mallards managed just three hits off of the the Green Bay Bullfrogs' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out four during his five innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Madison Mallards' Brandon Barker dominated the Green Bay Bullfrogs' batters, giving up two runs and striking out eight.
John Welborn had a hot bat for the Madison Mallards. Welborn went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.
Barker couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Madison Mallards, taking a loss.
