Sam Koenig went 1-3 and hit a home run, sparking the Lakeshore Chinooks (4-3) to a 2-1 victory over the Eau Claire Express (4-3) on Tuesday at Kapco Park.

Cody Glenn put together a nice outing. Glenn held the Eau Claire Express hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Kyle Young went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Eau Claire Express. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

The Lakeshore Chinooks couldn't get anything going as long as Matt Southard was pitching. Southard held the Lakeshore Chinooks hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Joe Greenfield got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered four hits.

Andrew Hedrick (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
