Steven Brault both hit and pitched well for the Willmar Stingers (0-5), but it wasn't enough as the Willmar Stingers fell to the Waterloo Bucks 8-6 at Riverfront Stadium-Waterloo,IA on Sunday.

Brault was solid at the plate for the Willmar Stingers. Brault went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second and third innings.

Brault pitched lights out for the Willmar Stingers. Brault held the Waterloo Bucks (5-0) hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.

The Waterloo Bucks held off the Willmar Stingers, as the Willmar Stingers were unable to overcome a three-run seventh inning deficit.

The Willmar Stingers scored one run in the ninth on a sacrifice fly by Michael Suchy. Unfortunately, the Willmar Stingers weren't able to take the lead back.

Richard Gonzalez was hot from the plate for the Waterloo Bucks. Gonzalez went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Zachary Pettiford got his second win for the Waterloo Bucks despite allowing five runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

Michael Shreves (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out one.
