Scott's big day not enough as the Saskatchewan fall to the Ontario 2, 12-4

Story by Narrative Science.

Mostoway Scott clubbed two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Saskatchewan (1-2) to a win on Friday, as the Saskatchewan fell to the Ontario two (1-1) 12-4 at Junior Martin-Bergeron in eight innings.

Five runs in the first three innings helped the Ontario two blow out the Saskatchewan. A two-run home run by Eric Carducci and a sacrifice fly by Jesse Carriere in the first inning and an RBI double by Carducci during the second inning helped the Ontario two put some runs on the board early.

Carducci had three extra-base hits for the Ontario two.

Tristan Bouchat recorded his first win of the year for the Ontario two. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out five, walked none and surrendered seven hits.

David Grant couldn't get it done on the bump for the Saskatchewan, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked six and struck out one.
