Ryan Mollica went 2-5 and hit a home run, sparking the Rockland Boulders (45-51) to an 8-5 victory over the Worcester Tornadoes (28-68) on Tuesday at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto.
He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth inning.Michael Gedman racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Worcester Tornadoes. He doubled in the second inning, homered in the eighth inning, and singled in the sixth and ninth innings.
Jonathan Velasquez got his sixth win for the Rockland Boulders despite allowing five runs over seven innings. Velasquez struck out seven, walked two and gave up eight hits.
Eric Katzman (0-1) took the loss for the Worcester Tornadoes. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
