Matt Nandin brought home the winning run to give the New Jersey Jackals (53-38) the lead in the ninth inning, as the New Jersey Jackals hung on to beat the Quebec Capitales (58-32) 5-2 on Thursday.

It was a good day at the plate for the New Jersey Jackals' Nandin. Nandin went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Isaac Pavlik baffled the Quebec Capitales, striking out seven batters. Pavlik allowed two earned runs on seven hits and three walks over seven innings.

Jeff Gogal recorded his sixth win of the year for the New Jersey Jackals. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Karl Gelinas (9-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just eight innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
