The Worcester Tornadoes (25-62) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to the New Jersey Jackals (52-36) on Sunday.
While the Worcester Tornadoes led until the fourth inning, the New Jersey Jackals worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Chris Henderson.
Mike Ness picked up the win for the New Jersey Jackals. Ness allowed two earned runs, eight hits and no walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.
Walker McKinven (1-5) took the loss for the Worcester Tornadoes. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
