Reggie Abercrombie had two extra-base hits for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. He tripled in the sixth inning.
The Quebec Capitales (45-26) had no answer for Kyle Mertins, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Mertins held the Quebec Capitales hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
