The Newark Bears fall 13-5 at the hands of the New Jersey Jackals

The Newark Bears (19-46) didn't have a chance on Friday, as the New Jersey Jackals (38-27) won in blowout fashion, 13-5 at Bears_Eagles Riverfront Stadium.

The New Jersey Jackals scored four runs in the sixth on , , an RBI double by Matt Cusick, an RBI single by Jeff Gogal, a double by Nick Giarraputo, and a sacrifice fly by Matt Nandin.

Carlos Guzman racked up three RBIs on two hits for the New Jersey Jackals. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Gogal brought the heat against the Newark Bears during his outing. Gogal held the Newark Bears hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Tucker Nathans racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Newark Bears. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Dustin Birosak got his second win for the New Jersey Jackals despite allowing five runs over five innings. Birosak struck out five, walked none and gave up eight hits.

Pedro Rivera ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his eighth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked four and struck out one.

The New Jersey Jackals hammered the Newark Bears pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 14 hits, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
