Curran's single propels the New Jersey Jackals past the Worcester Tornadoes, 5-2

The New Jersey Jackals (39-28) jumped on the Worcester Tornadoes (20-47) early on their way to a 5-2 win on Wednesday at Yogi Berra Stadium, scoring three runs in the first inning.

Chris Curran led the New Jersey Jackals' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He singled in the first, fifth, and seventh innings.

Steve Fox kept contact to a minimum, striking out nine the Worcester Tornadoes batters. Fox allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk over seven innings.

Michael Gedman (2-2) took the loss for the Worcester Tornadoes. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.
