The Newark fend off the New Jersey's late push, hold on 3-2

The New Jersey (19-12) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Newark (11-21), and the New Jersey lost 3-2 to the Newark after falling behind by two runs in the fourth inning.

The New Jersey scored one run in the sixth on a solo home run by Bryan Sabatella. Still, the New Jersey couldn't catch the Newark.

It was a good day at the plate for the Newark's Dan Coury. Coury went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Mike Ness struck out six hitters en route to the the Newark win. Ness allowed two earned runs, nine hits and one walk over seven innings.

Sabatella rocked the Newark with two home runs. Sabatella went 2-4 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Sabatella homered in the first and sixth innings.

Craig Clark couldn't get it done on the hill for the New Jersey, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
