The Rockland get 8 strikeouts from Moran, win 6-0 over the Worcester

A great effort by Pat Moran led the Rockland (10-12) to a 6-0 win over the Worcester (8-12) on Sunday at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto.

The Rockland's Moran kept the Worcester off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up eight.

The Rockland blew out the Worcester thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Rockland scored two runs in the seventh on a solo home run by Matt Nandin and an RBI single by Ryan Mollica.

Nandin was solid at the plate for the Rockland. Nandin went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs.

Phil Negus couldn't get it done on the bump for the Worcester, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 6 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.
