The Worcester get late runs to finish off the Rockland , 9-3

The Worcester (3-5) took home a 9-3 victory over the Rockland (4-6) on Sunday at Provident Bank Park, fueled by four runs in the second inning.

Nick Salotti put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Worcester . He singled in the second and eighth innings and doubled in the third and ninth innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Rockland 's Keith Brachold. Brachold went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Dan Sausville recorded his second win of the year for the Worcester . He allowed two runs over six innings. Sausville struck out three, walked none and gave up seven hits.

Bobby Blevins was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

The Worcester were sparked by Cameron Monger and Salotti, who teamed up for seven hits and three RBIs.

The Worcester increased their lead with two runs in the eighth. The inning looked promising, as Salotti singled, plating Kevin Cooper to kick things off. That was followed up by a groundout by Johnny Welch that scored Alex Trezza.
