The Gary SouthShore RailCats cough up lead, the Laredo Lemurs win 6-5

The Laredo Lemurs (54-45) trailed by four in the fourth, but Stephen Douglas was able to capture the lead back with a single in the ninth, spurring the Laredo Lemurs to a 6-5 win over the Gary SouthShore RailCats (49-50) at U.S. Steel Yard - Gary, IN on Sunday.

With the score tied at five, Douglas came to the plate and singled, scoring Anthony Scelfo.

Douglas had a hot bat for the Laredo Lemurs. Douglas went 4-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, third, seventh, and ninth innings.

Mark Haynes brought the heat against the Gary SouthShore RailCats during his outing. Haynes held the Gary SouthShore RailCats hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Marco Gonzalez was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
