An ace performance by Matthew Rusch lifted the Winnipeg Goldeyes (55-43) to a 5-1 win over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (63-35) on Saturday at Shaw Park.
Rusch's 13 strikeouts helped the Winnipeg Goldeyes to the victory. Rusch allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks over seven innings.
Luis Alen had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the second and sixth innings.
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks were led by Eric Campbell's hitting. Campbell went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.
Alex Caldera was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
