The Sioux Falls Pheasants (44-54) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the El Paso Diablos (46-52), recording a 14-2 victory on Saturday at Cohen Stadium.

With five runs in the first three innings, the Sioux Falls Pheasants left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Cesar Nicolas in the first inning and an RBI double by Jake Taylor, an RBI single by Al Quintana, and a groundout by Jared Bolden during the second inning fueled the Sioux Falls Pheasants' offense early.

Cristian Guerrero racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the third and seventh innings.

Rod Scurry picked up the win for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. Scurry pitched nine innings and allowed two earned runs, seven hits and four walks while striking out seven.

Reyes Dorado (1-5) took the loss for the El Paso Diablos. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked three and struck out none.

The Sioux Falls Pheasants hammered the El Paso Diablos pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 15 hits, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
