The Sioux Falls Pheasants defeat the Grand Prairie AirHogs after late game triple, 6-4

The Sioux Falls Pheasants (43-52) and the Grand Prairie AirHogs (49-47) passed the lead back and forth five times on Wednesday at QuikTrip Park, but in the end the Sioux Falls Pheasants pulled out a 6-4 win over the Grand Prairie AirHogs.

Jake Taylor put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. He doubled in the second inning and tripled in the ninth inning.

Mark Michael handled the Grand Prairie AirHogs' lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Michael allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over six innings.

Kyle Mertins recorded his third win of the year for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. Mertins struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

Ronnie Morales couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Grand Prairie AirHogs, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
