The Laredo Lemurs (48-43) outlasted the El Paso Diablos (44-45) on Friday after eight lead changes, squeaking out a 7-6 win at Uni-Trade Stadium.
It was a good day at the plate for the Laredo Lemurs' Stephen Pearson. Pearson went 2-2, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the sixth inning.
Daniel Nelson did his best to jumpstart the offense for the El Paso Diablos, reaching base four times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning.
Mike Benacka improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Laredo Lemurs. He allowed three runs over 1 1/3 innings. Benacka struck out one, walked two and gave up two hits.
Marcel Prado (2-2) took the loss for the El Paso Diablos. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
