The Wichita Wingnuts best the El Paso Diablos in shootout, 16-11

The bats were busy at Cohen Stadium on Tuesday, and when the dust cleared the Wichita Wingnuts (51-37) had a 16-11 win over the El Paso Diablos (43-43).

The teams totaled 34 hits in the game.

David Peralta racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Wichita Wingnuts. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.

Reid Fronk had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second and sixth innings.

Even though Josh Lowey allowed seven runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his fourteenth of the season. Lowey struck out two, walked two and gave up 11 hits.

Ramon Garcia (1-3) took the loss for the El Paso Diablos. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked three and struck out two.

The Wichita Wingnuts pounded the El Paso Diablos pitching, as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 12 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
