The St Paul Saints (45-40) beat the Winnipeg Goldeyes (48-37) 4-1 on Saturday at Shaw Park behind Jose Hernandez, who collected three hits.

He singled in the second and third innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

The St Paul Saints relied on Kyle Ruwe to eat up innings en route to the win. Ruwe allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks while striking out three over 8 1/3 innings of work.

Matthew Rusch couldn't get it done on the mound for the Winnipeg Goldeyes, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
