Ziegler's walk-off single send the Wichita Wingnuts home winners, 6-5

A walk-off single from CJ Ziegler brought home the winning run for the Wichita Wingnuts (50-36) in a 6-5 victory over the Sioux City Explorers in 11 innings at Lawrence Dumont Stadium on Friday.

Ziegler racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Wichita Wingnuts. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the eleventh inning.

John Rodriguez reached base three times in the game for the Wichita Wingnuts. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning and singled in the tenth inning.

The Sioux City Explorers (38-48) couldn't get anything going as long as Josh Dew was on the mound. Dew held the Sioux City Explorers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Chuck Lukanen ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed one run.
