De Caster gives the Winnipeg Goldeyes late push to beat the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, 8-6

Yurendell de Caster drove in the winning run to give the Winnipeg Goldeyes (48-34) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Winnipeg Goldeyes hung on to beat the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (54-29) 8-6 on Wednesday.

After Price Kendall singled, de Caster came to the plate with one out in the sixth and singled, bringing home Kendall.

The Winnipeg Goldeyes held off the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks were unable to overcome a four-run eighth inning deficit.

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks scored on an RBI single by Ryan Delgado in the eighth inning and a two-run home run by Zach Penprase in the ninth inning. Despite their efforts, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks couldn't get over the hump.

Kendall did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Winnipeg Goldeyes, reaching base four times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second, sixth, and eighth innings.

Andrew Walker recorded his seventh win of the year for the Winnipeg Goldeyes. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Joe Harris was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
