The Winnipeg Goldeyes (35-23) trailed by three in the seventh, but the Winnipeg Goldeyes recovered thanks to a key double in the eighth inning from Jose O. Duran to pull out an 8-6 win over the Sioux Falls Pheasants (28-30) at Sioux Falls Stadium on Thursday.
With the score tied at six, O. Duran came to the plate and doubled, bringing home Josh Mazzola.
O. Duran had a hot bat for the Winnipeg Goldeyes. O. Duran went 2-4 and drove in one. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
Yurendell de Caster went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Winnipeg Goldeyes. He singled in the third and fifth innings and homered in the ninth inning.
Billy Spottiswood improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Winnipeg Goldeyes. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered two hits.
Dan Cooper (1-3) took the loss for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
